At Vale da Cegonha we aim to provide the best of all worlds for everyone. Our holiday villas are situated in the picturesque Alentejo region of Portugal and consist of a traditionally styled, elegant country villa and a cottage with spacious accommodation.

Our villas are set within 20 acres (7 hectares) of land amidst gloriously unspoiled country side, offering the perfect rural retreat.

All of our holiday accommodation is fitted with full modern amenities and self-catering facilities. We can also offer fully catered meals in our guests' dining room, where you can dine in style.

Casa Aguia and Casa Cegonha together form an elegant traditionally-styled country property. Within Casa Cegonha you will find our reception and beautifully appointed guests' dining room. Casa Aguia has 2 luxurious bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, as well as an extremely spacious lounge and a fully equipped kitchen/diner. The villa will sleep up to 8 guests including children.

The terraces surrounding Casa Aguia and the swimming pool are fully accessible to wheelchair users.

Casa Andorinha is a delightful detached farm-workers style cottage (located approximately 40 metres from our main villa). It has an open plan lounge/kitchen/diner, as well as a large double/family bedroom with en suite bathroom. Casa Andorinha will sleep up to 4 guests.

Outside both villa properties there are shady terraces, sun terraces and a large 10x5 metre heated saltwater swimming pool.

Most of our rooms offer spectacular views across the valley and towards the distant hills. You can also take in the beautiful landscape from our swimming pool and villa terraces: where you can enjoy magical evenings watching the sun go down.

A self catering holiday usually entails doing most of your own cooking. At Vale da Cegonha you have a choice. Full breakfast, suppers most evenings and occasional barbeque lunches may be booked on a daily basis.

This area of Portugal has much to offer: history, culture, nature and wildlife, as well as activity and adventure - and our central location means that all places of interest are within easy reach, whatever your choice may be.

If you are planning to set up home here, then regular visits are often necessary.
We can offer preferential rates for homeseekers as well as Project Preparation, Monitoring and Liaison Services, if required.

"I honestly couldn't fault your hospitality and the thinking you had put into the accommodation from an access point of view - certainly for the majority of Independent Spinal Injured visitors I think you have it pretty well covered.
